Administer the construction contract and ensure that
the works are executed in accordance with the provisions of the construction
contract entered by the Client with the Contractor selected through ICB based
on the Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of Works published by the
World Bank in 2015 updated January and October 2017 to enhance environmental,
social, health and safety performance.
Review the geometry, pavement, culvert, and other
structural designs, specifications, construction method, etc., prepared by the
PMU and revise or update if possible, to achieve greater economy, safety,
reliability, and/or durability; Review and approve working drawings, and
provide written confirmation to the PMU indicating the acceptance of ownership
of the drawings; approve and monitor the contractor’s construction program
and method statements, verifying that they are consistent with the implementation
schedule for the contract package.
