Conducting a Research on the Contribution of the Civil Aviation Sector to the National Economy of Sri Lanka

Air transportation services in terms of commercial passengers, freight & mail services, ground based infrastructure and service providers - includes the airport facilities, the services provided for passengers and aircrafts on-site at airports, such as ramp services, passenger services, baggage handling, ticketing, retail & catering services together with essential services provided off-site, such as air navigation and air regulation cartelistic effects (tourism and other enabled services) need to be study, In line with the above, the direct, Indirect and Induced channels to the national economy will be studied. The knowledge gathered will be used to direct future aviation policy and long term development plans related to civil aviation on the above channels as well as other potential channels to be identified.
